• He received his doctorate from the Institute of Sciences, Department of Mathematics section of Geometry at Ankara University (2010).
• He obtained TUBITAK postdoctoral research scholarship, then worked with Professor Franki Dillen for 9 months at Katholieke Leuven University in Belgium (2011-2012).
• After 15 years of teaching at MEB high schools, he started his career as an Assistant Professor at Bartın University in Turkey in February 2013.
• Güler was invited by Professor Rafael Lopez and worked with him at the University of Granada in Spain (2014).
•  He also obtained TUBITAK postdoctoral research scholarship, then worked with Prof Wayne Rossman and Dr Masashi Yasumoto at Kobe University in Japan for 2 months (2014).
•  Güler is currently working on some projects with Professor H. Hilmi Hacısalihoğlu, Professor Martin Magid, Professor George Kaimakamis, Professor Gang Xu and Assistant Professor Ömer Kişi.
